Vegan Egg

The Vegan Egg: while some avoid eggs because it’s an animal product, there’s lots of individuals who have allergies to eggs. As for us: once upon a time, we used to eat eggs (even though they would upset our tummies!) Scrambled eggs was one of the foods that we missed when we initially became vegan. Furthermore, after becoming vegan and learning about the egg industry, we realized it was best to leave it off our plates (and out of our tummies). After hearing about this product, we HAD to try it and see what the rave was all about. Simply put: it was exactly what we anticipated! The product comes in powder form and all you add is ice cold water (we just added ice cubes in a bowl of water for a few minutes). Once you stir the Vegan Egg powder with water, it has a very strong egg-like smell. This shocked us at first (lol)! Once we scrambled the mixture, it started forming identically to what scrambled eggs look like! The taste: absolutely delicious- without the tummy ache and no animals harmed :). We also used it in a few recipes such as french toast, pancakes, and cookies (where an egg is normally called for). The results were phenomenal and surprising! Although this product is not yet available in Canada, we ordered it online through Amazon. So if you happen to find it: it lives up to its hype and is definitely worth trying!!

One of the most amazing features of this product is it’s versatility: you can scramble it, cook with it as an egg-replacement, and bake it into various treats (without compromising the taste and texture of your meal).
