Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

We love these cheesy biscuits straight out of the oven! They’re comforting, delicious, and very flavourful. We also realized they’re similar in taste to the cheese biscuits at Red Lobster! Thank goodness we have a veganized version for you to enjoy :)

Makes approximately 16 biscuits

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup of vegan cheese shreds (we used Daiya Cheddar)
  • 1.5 tbsp of fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
  • 6 tbsp melted vegan butter
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp melted vegan butter (feel free to use 1/2 tbsp alternatively)
  1. Preheat oven to 450F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, salt, nutritional yeast, sugar and baking soda. Whisk thoroughly.
  3. In the same bowl, add the vegan cheese shreds, chopped parsley, almond milk, melted vegan butter (6 tbsp) and apple cider vinegar. Mix this into a dough.
  4. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto your lined baking sheets.
  5. Bake at 450F for about 12-15 minutes (or until the bottoms are golden brown).
  6. While the biscuits are baking away, you can now make the coating:
  7. In a small bowl, combine the 2 tbsp of melted vegan butter and 1/2 tsp garlic powder.
  8. Once the biscuits are out of the oven, coat each biscuit with a baking brush.

Prepare to indulge in buttery, savory, and cheesy goodness!
